I keep seeing this word pop up all over the place lately, and I have no idea what it is! So before I find out what it really is, how bout I record what I believe/wish it to be in my mind first?
MMMM....moonfruit. Sounds delicious. My mind is automatically whisked off to a galaxy far, far away, where the entire surface of a moon, of some ginormous planet, is covered with fruit trees. But these are no normal fruit trees, oh no. There are two types of tree on this moon. One of them is incredibly large, which makes retrieving its fruit quite difficult. If however one were to take on this task, they would not be let down in the least. For this tree produces a large, juicy delicious fruit not much different from a large peach. And large, indeed. The other type of fruit is quite easy to come by. It's stepping on them that is the problem, since they are so miniscule. These trees produce what is not too far from little gummy fruits! A Fruit Snack Tree!! I would be so lucky as to ever get my hands on this moonfruit. But, man, do I dream about it every night. I'm sure there are millions of other moons with delicious fruit on them as well, but I guess us wee little Earthlings will never know.
So that is what moon fruit is to me. Either that or some boring fruit from Hawaii or some other tropical place that resembles a moon shape. Nah.
